4GB standard is soldered on the motherboard, non removeable. There is one free slot. A 4GB or 8GB RAM module can be installed. Memory must be DDR3 low voltage. Memory listed here is low voltage. Hard drive is standard SATA. However there is an undocumented mSATA connector on the main board. A mSATA SSD can be installed together with the existing drive. It would recognised as a new drive, you could clone your current drive ontot he mSATA and run it as your main drive, super fast, and keep the old drive as internal storage.
